Different kinds of motivation. - One where you strive toward something - One where you work to avoid. What is my genuine take on motivation? White Hat - The most common and one you may be most familiar with. - We aim to acheive something. - I.e Earn X, A heaven/goal worth striving towards. Black Hat - More niche, arguably more useful. - We try to avoid something. - i.e Avoid being broke. A hell/life worth trying to avoid. It’s important to note that you wax and wane between the two. - You may feel depressed or angry because of your circumstances so you channel those negative feelings into effort and grit. You get to a point where you’re no longer angry or depressed, but instead you like what you do and feel joy and instead that pulls you forward.
The idea is to talk about Traits, Beliefs and Skills in a self development sense. Maybe open with a bit about Hormozi’s quote about entrepreneurs needing the change all the time then segue into self development and the term life entrepreneur and changing in line with what you want from life. Leila talked about her now (£10M) and her (£100M) have different beliefs, traits and skills. In self development if we have an ideal outcome we can start to imagine how that version of us may be different.
